About this course

Bioveterinary science examines the biological and scientific processes that underpin animal health and disease, sitting between the life sciences and veterinary medicine to develop the diagnostic, microbiological and clinical understanding needed by those who work in animal health, research and the biological industries. Unlike a veterinary degree, which trains practitioners to diagnose and treat individual animals, bioveterinary science takes a broader scientific perspective, examining the mechanisms of disease, the immune system, pathogens, physical therapies and the biomedical sciences that underlie clinical practice.
