Environmental science and geography together address some of the most urgent questions facing contemporary societies. Environmental science examines the physical and chemical processes shaping the natural world, including climate systems, biogeochemical cycles, pollution, and ecosystem dynamics. Geography provides the spatial perspective, analysing how physical environments and human populations interact and how the consequences of environmental change are distributed unevenly across places and communities.
