Film and screen production is a discipline that develops the practical, creative, and critical skills needed to make moving image work across the full range of screen formats, from short films and features to documentary, television, and digital content. It is a field in which creative vision and technical competence must work together, where the ability to conceive original ideas matters as much as the ability to realise them through the camera, in the edit, and in sound. Studying film production at degree level means developing both as a practitioner and as a thinker about film, understanding the history and theory of the medium alongside the craft of making it.
