About this course

Diagnostic radiography is the clinical discipline responsible for producing and interpreting medical images. Radiographers are the healthcare professionals who operate X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound equipment, apply the principles of radiation physics and image quality to obtain diagnostic information, and work with radiologists and clinical teams to contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, clinical skill, and patient-centred communication, and it demands the ability to work calmly and competently in clinical environments where patients may be anxious or in pain.
