Primary Education Studies focuses on understanding how children learn, how primary schools are organised and run, and what makes teaching and care in the early and primary years effective. Unlike a full initial teacher training route, an Education Studies degree approaches the field from a broader academic perspective, drawing on sociology, psychology, philosophy, and policy analysis to examine the purposes and practices of education in depth.
