Accounting and finance together provide the analytical and conceptual tools through which organisations and individuals manage money, measure performance, and make decisions about investment and risk. Accounting is concerned with the recording, classification, and reporting of financial information, while finance focuses on the allocation of capital, the pricing of risk, and the management of financial assets. Together they are central to the functioning of every organisation from small businesses to global investment banks, and to the financial markets and public institutions that structure modern economies.
