Learning disabilities nursing and social work combined into an integrated practice degree recognises that the people it aims to serve, those with learning disabilities, often need support that crosses the traditional boundaries between health and social care. Learning disabilities nurses have clinical training in supporting people with complex health needs, epilepsy management, mental health, and the medical aspects of conditions associated with learning disabilities.
