Music in community and education settings brings the transformative power of musical engagement to contexts beyond the concert hall, working with children, young people and diverse communities to develop participation, creativity and wellbeing through music. This is a discipline that takes music seriously both as an art form and as a social practice, asking not just how music is made but who makes it, who it reaches and what it can do for individuals and communities when it is placed at the centre of educational and creative experience.
