Anatomy is the foundation of medical and biomedical education, providing the structural knowledge that underpins clinical practice, surgery, radiological interpretation, and the understanding of how disease affects the body. It is the study of the human body at every level of organisation, from whole organ systems and the arrangements of bones, muscles, and vessels to the cellular and subcellular structures that carry out life's processes.
