About this course

Economics and econometrics is a degree that combines the theoretical study of how economies work with the statistical and mathematical tools used to test economic theories and analyse data. Economies are changing at a rapid pace, driven by technological transformation, globalisation, and shifting policy environments, and understanding these changes requires both the conceptual frameworks that economics provides and the analytical methods that allow those frameworks to be applied to real-world data. Econometrics is the statistical methodology of economics, teaching you how to estimate relationships in economic data, predict patterns of behaviour, and draw valid conclusions from evidence.
