Adult nursing is the largest field of the nursing profession, concerned with the assessment, care and treatment of adult patients across the full range of clinical settings and health conditions. Nurses are at the front line of healthcare, working alongside doctors, allied health professionals and other colleagues to support patients through illness, recovery, long-term conditions and end-of-life care. The role demands clinical knowledge, practical skill, emotional resilience and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and professional colleagues in complex and often pressured circumstances. At Dundee, this three-year full-time programme is based in Tayside, with placements across the NHS Tayside footprint that encompasses Dundee, Perth and Angus.
