The feet are among the most mechanically complex structures in the body, bearing the full weight of a person in motion and subject to a wide range of problems from skin and nail conditions to structural abnormalities, diabetic complications, and sports injuries. Podiatrists work across the NHS and private practice, contributing to the management of long-term conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and the prevention of serious complications for patients with diabetes, circulatory disorders, and rheumatic conditions.
