About this course
Screenwriting and producing are the two disciplines most directly responsible for bringing stories to the screen. Screenwriters translate ideas, characters, and narratives into the specific form of the screenplay, a document that must achieve on the page what a film or television programme will achieve on screen: drama, tension, character, dialogue, and visual storytelling. Producers are the people who make the creative vision possible in practical terms, finding finance, assembling teams, managing production processes, and navigating the commercial and legal dimensions of the screen industries. Together the two disciplines cover the full arc from story idea to finished work. At Regent's University London, this four-year, full-time programme begins with a foundation year in liberal arts and media, which establishes the broader intellectual and cultural context for your specialist studie
