Sport therapy is a specialist clinical discipline focused on the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries sustained in sporting and exercise contexts. It draws on anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and clinical reasoning to develop practitioners who can assess the nature and cause of injury, apply appropriate therapeutic techniques, design evidence-based rehabilitation programmes, and support the return to sport and physical activity.
