Construction project management is the discipline that turns architectural and engineering ambitions into finished buildings. Project managers in the construction industry are responsible for coordinating the full delivery process, from resource allocation, programme planning and budget management through to managing contractor relationships, site safety and stakeholder communication. It is a role that requires both technical understanding of how buildings are put together and the leadership and organisational skills to keep complex, multi-party projects on track.
