Economics and business is a combination that brings together the analytical tools for understanding how markets, firms, and economies work with the practical knowledge and skills needed to lead and manage organisations effectively. Economics develops the capacity for systematic thinking about decision-making under scarcity, market dynamics, incentive structures, and the effects of policy, using formal models and empirical evidence to illuminate how individuals, firms, and governments behave. Business management adds the strategic, organisational, and operational dimensions of how companies actually function and compete, with attention to leadership, marketing, operations, and commercial judgement.
