Mathematics with statistics is a degree that combines the rigorous logical structure of pure and applied mathematics with the tools needed to model uncertainty, analyse data and draw reliable conclusions from evidence. Statistics is one of the most practically consequential branches of mathematics, underpinning clinical trials, financial risk assessment, quality control, public health monitoring, machine learning and the empirical methods used across virtually every scientific discipline. Studying both together gives you a degree of depth and flexibility that neither subject alone provides.
