Politics and sociology are disciplines that share a fundamental concern with how power, structure, and social action shape the world we live in. Politics examines institutions, governance, and the processes through which collective decisions are made and contested. Sociology investigates the social structures, cultural forces, and inequalities that shape individual lives and collective outcomes. Studied together, they give you a richer understanding of both the formal exercise of power and the informal social dynamics that politics both reflects and produces.
