Building surveying is a professional discipline at the centre of how the built environment is managed, maintained, acquired, and developed. Building surveyors advise clients across both commercial and residential property on issues including structural assessment, building defects, contract administration, dilapidations, and the management of construction projects. They work with architects, engineers, and developers to ensure that buildings are constructed and maintained to the required standards, and they provide expert advice that protects clients from risk in property transactions and development projects.
