Cyber security and forensics addresses two of the most pressing challenges facing organisations in the digital age: protecting systems and data from attack, and investigating the breaches and criminal activity that occur when those protections fail. Cyber security concerns itself with the technical and procedural measures that prevent unauthorised access, data theft, and disruption of services. Digital forensics applies rigorous investigative methods to recover, preserve, and analyse electronic evidence, whether for criminal prosecution, corporate investigation, or incident response.
