About this course
Global affairs, politics, and international relations together form one of the richest frameworks for understanding the world we inhabit. Politics examines how power is organised and contested within societies. International relations extends that analysis to the relations between states, international institutions, and global actors. Global affairs broadens the picture further, incorporating economic, environmental, cultural, and humanitarian dimensions of the interconnected world. Adding history grounds all of these in the long-run processes and events that produced the current international order. This four-year full-time programme at the University of Chester includes a foundation year for students who need additional preparation, as well as a year abroad that takes your studies into an international context.
