About this course
Graphic design shapes how information looks and how it is understood. From a logo to a book, a website to a wayfinding system, graphic design is the practice of using visual elements, typography, colour, image, and layout to communicate clearly and compellingly. It is both a craft and a conceptual discipline, demanding technical skill alongside the ability to think strategically about audiences, contexts, and the purposes that designed objects serve. At Arden University you will study part-time and by distance learning, a format that gives you the flexibility to develop your practice around other commitments while engaging with a curriculum that covers the full scope of the discipline. Assessment throughout the programme mirrors real-world professional tasks rather than traditional examinations, meaning your learning is consistently oriented towards the kind of work you will be asked to
