Social and cultural anthropology in particular explores how people in different societies organise their lives, make meaning, form relationships, and respond to change. It develops a capacity for deep listening and careful observation, and it asks you to hold your own cultural assumptions lightly while taking seriously the logic of ways of life very different from your own.
