Architectural technology is the technical and design discipline concerned with ensuring that buildings are designed, documented, and delivered to the highest standards of technical performance. While architects focus primarily on the creative and aesthetic dimensions of building design, architectural technologists are the specialists who resolve how buildings actually get built: how structures work, how insulation and weatherproofing are detailed, how building services are integrated, how materials perform under the demands of use and climate, and how design intentions are translated into construction documents that contractors can follow.
