Business management and economics is a combination that develops two complementary sets of analytical tools for understanding organisations and the environments in which they operate. Business management gives you practical knowledge of how firms are organised, financed, marketed, and led, developing your understanding of the decisions managers face and the frameworks that help them think about those decisions. Economics provides the theoretical and empirical foundations for understanding how markets work, how governments intervene, and what drives the macro-level conditions, interest rates, inflation, trade, and growth, that shape the business environment.
