About this course

Law is both one of the most intellectually rigorous of the academic disciplines and one with the most direct practical consequence in the world. It trains you to read, interpret, and apply complex rules, to construct and evaluate legal arguments, to understand the institutional structures through which justice is delivered, and to engage critically with the values and purposes that law is meant to serve. Studying law with an international dimension adds a further perspective, examining how legal systems interact across national borders and how international law governs relationships between states, corporations, and individuals in an increasingly interconnected world. At the University of Manchester, this four-year full-time programme is offered as Law with International Study, combining a rigorous Manchester law degree with a period of study in a different country and a work placement.
