About this course

Medicine at Cambridge is a six-year full-time programme that combines the rigorous scientific education for which Cambridge is renowned with the clinical training needed to produce excellent, compassionate doctors. The key to being a great clinician, as the programme itself puts it, is combining practical skills with an excellent grounding in the science underlying practice, and the Cambridge course is designed to give you exactly that. The first three years develop a deep scientific understanding of the biological foundations of medicine, leading to a BA degree, before a further three years of clinical training in hospitals and community settings.
