Zoology (Undergraduate Masters with Professional Studies)
MSci · Queen's University of Belfast · 5 years
About this course
Zoology is the scientific study of the animal kingdom, encompassing everything from the molecular mechanisms of cellular function to the dynamics of ecosystems and the global patterns of animal diversity. It examines animal physiology, anatomy, behaviour, ecology, evolution, and conservation, and draws on molecular biology, genetics, and ecology to understand how animals live, adapt, and interact with each other and their environments. The undergraduate masters with professional studies adds a fifth year of advanced, masters-level content alongside a structured professional dimension, producing a qualification of particular depth and professional relevance. At Queen's University of Belfast, this five-year MSci Zoology with Professional Studies programme develops knowledge and understanding from the molecular and cellular levels through to whole-organism biology and community ecology.
