About this course

Adult nursing is a vocation and a profession, concerned with the assessment, care, and support of adults across the full range of health conditions and care settings. Nurses work in hospitals, community settings, care homes, GP practices, and specialist services, combining clinical knowledge with the interpersonal skills to build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. Adult nursing requires both scientific understanding of physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology, and the human qualities of empathy, clear communication, and sound professional judgement.
