Architectural design and technology sits at the boundary between creative design and technical construction knowledge, concerned with translating architectural ideas into buildable realities while maintaining the aesthetic and functional ambitions of good design. The discipline recognises that the great buildings of the present and future will emerge from the collaboration of creative designers who understand technical constraints and technical specialists who understand design intent.
