About this course
Architecture is among the most ambitious of the professional disciplines, combining technical knowledge of structures, materials, and environmental systems with design thinking, cultural awareness, and the ability to imagine spaces that serve human needs across time. Architects shape the built environment in which all of life takes place: homes, workplaces, schools, hospitals, civic buildings, and public spaces. The profession demands both creative vision and rigorous problem-solving, and the education that leads to it is correspondingly demanding and broad. At Nottingham Trent University, this three-year full-time programme represents the first stage of the professional qualification route, typically referred to as Part 1. You will develop design skills through studio projects, learning to move from concept to technical drawing and from two-dimensional representation to three-dimension
