Business and management are concerned with how organisations are created, led, and sustained, and with the decisions that determine whether they succeed or fail. The discipline draws on economics, psychology, sociology, and quantitative methods to examine how firms and institutions allocate resources, motivate people, respond to competitive pressure, and navigate environments shaped by technology, regulation, and changing consumer expectations. At degree level, business and management education develops not just knowledge of these areas but the capacity to think critically and creatively about them.
