Environmental science and geography together provide a comprehensive approach to understanding the planet we live on and the human pressures that are changing it. Environmental science focuses on the physical, chemical, and biological systems that sustain life on earth, including climate, water, soil, atmosphere, and the ecosystems that depend on them. Geography connects those physical processes to the human dimensions of environment, asking how people have shaped and been shaped by the natural world and how the spatial organisation of society relates to environmental conditions and challenges. At Dundee you will study the natural science of the environment alongside the human geography of how people interact with it.
