Computing and mathematics is a combination that reflects the deep historical and intellectual connection between the two disciplines. Mathematics provides the formal language in which computing is built: logic, discrete mathematics, algorithms, probability, and linear algebra are all mathematical in origin, and a strong mathematical foundation makes you a significantly more capable computer scientist.
