Ophthalmic imaging is a specialist area of healthcare science concerned with producing, analysing, and interpreting images of the eye and visual system to support clinical decision-making. The eye provides a unique window into the health of the body, and advances in imaging technology have made ophthalmic science central to the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions ranging from glaucoma and macular degeneration to diabetic eye disease and neurological disorders.
