About this course

Adult nursing is one of the most directly human of all the healthcare professions. Nurses provide care across the full breadth of adult health, from emergency and acute settings to long-term condition management, community health and palliative care. The role demands clinical knowledge, practical skill and the ability to build trust with patients at vulnerable moments in their lives. It is a profession that combines scientific understanding with compassion, and the capacity to make sound judgements under pressure. You will develop both the theoretical foundations and the hands-on competence required to register as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The programme integrates academic study with substantial clinical placement experience, taking you into hospitals, community services, specialist clinics and other care environments where you learn alongside practising profession
