About this course

Modern languages combined with international relations is a degree that prepares you to understand and engage with the world at the point where culture, communication, and global politics intersect. Languages give you access to how other societies think, argue, and express themselves, opening doors that English alone cannot unlock. International relations provides the analytical frameworks for understanding diplomacy, conflict, international law, global governance, development, and the forces that shape relations between states and other actors in the international system. Together the two subjects equip you to operate across national and cultural boundaries with both fluency and strategic understanding.
