Philosophy and politics is one of the most intellectually demanding and widely respected combinations in the humanities and social sciences. Philosophy trains you to examine arguments with rigour, to identify assumptions that others take for granted, and to reason carefully about fundamental questions concerning knowledge, ethics, language, mind, and the nature of reality. Politics examines the structures and dynamics of power, the institutions of government, and the competing values and interests that shape political life.
