Physiotherapy is a clinical profession concerned with restoring and maintaining movement and physical function across the full span of human life. Whether working with someone recovering from a stroke, managing a child with a neurodevelopmental condition, supporting an elderly patient with a fall-related injury, or helping an athlete return to sport, physiotherapists draw on an understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and psychology to assess complex presentations and design individual treatment plans. It is a discipline grounded in science and shaped by compassionate, person-centred practice. This three-year full-time programme at York St John University is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and validated by the Health and Care Professions Council, which means that on graduation you can apply for registration to practise as a Chartered Physiotherapist.
