Anthropology is the discipline that takes the full range of human diversity, across cultures, societies, histories, and biological forms, as its subject matter. Social and cultural anthropology asks how different societies organise themselves, what values and belief systems sustain them, and what it means to encounter radically different ways of living and thinking. It is a discipline that cultivates genuine openness to difference, deep listening, and the ability to suspend easy assumptions about what is normal or natural.
