Creative technology and robotics occupies a genuinely original space between the arts and engineering, bringing together the technical disciplines of robotics, electronics, and computing with the creative and conceptual traditions of art and design. Where conventional engineering programmes focus on functional systems, and conventional art programmes focus on expression and meaning, creative technology asks what happens when you combine both: when technical systems become the medium for creative work, or when creative thinking drives the design of new technological forms. This field encompasses interactive installations, wearable technology, kinetic art, autonomous machines, and many other hybrid practices that are reshaping how we think about both art and technology.
