Welsh, media and public relations is a programme that brings together the study of the Welsh language and its cultural traditions with the contemporary disciplines of media and public relations, addressing the realities of a bilingual country in which Welsh-language media, government communications and commercial PR all operate alongside English-language counterparts. Welsh is a living language with around 900,000 speakers, a rich literary and oral tradition, and a growing presence in broadcasting, digital media and public life.
