Film production is the craft and practice of making films, encompassing every stage from the initial concept and script through to the final edit and the choices of sound design and colour grade that shape how an audience experiences the work. It is a collaborative discipline: professional filmmaking requires writers, directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, and many other specialists to work together effectively, and studying it develops not only technical skills but the ability to communicate a creative vision, manage resources and people, and deliver a finished piece of work.
