Arts management sits at the junction of creative practice and organisational leadership, concerned with how cultural organisations are run, sustained, and developed. Museums, galleries, theatres, festivals, arts centres, and the many organisations that fund, promote, and support the arts all depend on people who understand both the creative work they present and the management, financial, and strategic challenges that keeping a cultural organisation alive entails. This is a field that rewards practitioners who can move fluently between an artistic vision and a budget spreadsheet.
