Occupational therapy is the healthcare profession concerned with enabling people to participate in the everyday activities that are meaningful to them, despite the effects of illness, disability, injury or the challenges of ageing. Occupational therapists work with people of all ages across a huge range of conditions, from stroke rehabilitation and mental health recovery to supporting children with developmental difficulties and enabling older adults to remain independent at home.
