Sport Science and Management (with Foundation Year)

About this course
Sport science and management sits at the intersection of two distinct but complementary fields: the scientific analysis of human performance and physical activity, and the organisational and commercial knowledge needed to lead and develop sporting organisations. Where pure sport science focuses on physiology, psychology, biomechanics, and the evidence base for performance enhancement, the management dimension adds strategy, marketing, operations, event management, and the governance structures of professional sport. Together they produce graduates who can understand sport both as a human and biological phenomenon and as an industry. At Nottingham Trent University, this four-year programme includes a foundation year, giving you the chance to develop the academic skills, scientific knowledge, and confidence needed for degree-level study before moving into the main programme.
