About this course

Economics is the science of choice under scarcity, examining how individuals, firms and governments decide how to allocate limited resources and what the consequences of those decisions are for welfare, growth, inequality and stability. It is a discipline that speaks directly to the most pressing questions of public and commercial life, from inflation and unemployment to climate policy, trade and the distribution of income and wealth. At Loughborough University, this three-year full-time programme equips you to engage with those questions with analytical rigour and to develop the skills that employers across a wide range of sectors consistently value.
