Nurses are at the centre of healthcare delivery, responsible not only for carrying out clinical procedures but for observing, assessing, and responding to patients' changing needs, and for communicating clearly with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team. Adult nursing specifically focuses on the care of adults across a wide range of settings, from acute hospital wards and intensive care to community, mental health liaison, and palliative care.
