It is the discipline behind the animated films and series produced by the world's leading studios, the visual effects that populate blockbuster cinema, the characters that inhabit video games, and the digital content that increasingly fills screens of every kind. At its heart, 3D animation is about bringing digital objects to life: creating the illusion of weight, movement, personality and emotion through the manipulation of three-dimensional models and their environments.
