Aerospace engineering sits at the very frontier of what human technology can achieve. The design and development of commercial aircraft, helicopters, spacecraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles brings together aerodynamics, structural engineering, propulsion, materials science, avionics, and systems engineering in combinations that push the boundaries of what is physically possible. Aerospace engineers are also increasingly central to the transition to sustainable aviation, working on alternative propulsion systems, noise reduction, and the minimisation of environmental impact, challenges that will define the industry for the coming generation.
